Privacy Policy

RESTORED™ ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and what your rights are under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Data controller

What we collect

• Order data: name, shipping address, billing address, email, phone (optional)
• Payment data: processed by our payment provider (Shopify Payments). We never store full card details.
• Account data: if you create an account, your email and any preferences you save
• Newsletter data: email address, only if you subscribe
• Usage data: anonymised analytics about how the site is used (page views, device type)

Why we collect it

• To process and ship your orders (legal basis: contract)
• To respond to customer support enquiries (legitimate interest)
• To send the newsletter, only with your consent (consent)
• To improve the site through analytics (legitimate interest)
• To comply with tax and accounting obligations (legal obligation)

Who we share data with

We share the minimum data necessary with these processors:

• Shopify Inc. — store platform, payments, and checkout
• Klaviyo Inc. — email delivery of digital product access (RESET) and newsletter
• Email and shipping providers — to deliver newsletters and parcels

We do not sell your personal data.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as required by EU tax law (typically 10 years). Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is anonymised.

Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Object to or restrict processing
• Request data portability
• Withdraw consent at any time
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

Cookies, analytics and marketing

Analytics and marketing are switched off by default. Nothing non-essential runs until you choose it in the consent banner, and you can change or withdraw that choice at any time using the Cookie preferences link at the bottom of every page. Withdrawing stops the corresponding tracking immediately.

Essential (always active, no consent required)

• Cart and checkout — Shopify session cookies needed to hold your basket and complete payment
• Account — sign-in session for your RESTORED™ library
• Your consent choice — stored in your browser as restored_consent_v1 (local storage), so we do not ask again

Analytics (only with your consent)

• Google Analytics 4 — page and interaction measurement, loaded only after consent and operated under Google Consent Mode v2, with analytics and advertising storage denied by default
• RESTORED™ practice measurement — our own first-party record of how the free practices are used. With your consent it stores restored_session_v1 in your browser's session storage: a random session identifier, the traffic source, any UTM parameters, the landing page and the referring site. It is deleted when you close the tab, is never shared with a third party and is never used for advertising. Without consent, no such storage is written and the session identifier exists only in memory for the duration of the page view.

Marketing (only with your consent)

• Meta Pixel — loaded only after marketing consent; withdrawal revokes it
• Klaviyo onsite — loaded only after marketing consent. Subscribing to the newsletter is a separate, explicit action you take yourself.

This cookie choice is entirely separate from the acknowledgement you give before buying digital content (the loss of the 14-day withdrawal right under Article 16(m)). Neither affects the other.
